Øyvind Bruland
The story behind the development of Xofigo
Day 1 · Introduction and history of alpha therapy
Professor Bruland is a clinical oncologist at Oslo University Hospital, an emeritus professor of clinical oncology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, and an entrepreneur. He co-founded Algeta and was one of the developers of the first, and so far only, clinically approved alpha therapy: Xofigo.
He also co-founded OncoInvent and ARTBIO, which are running trials with 224Ra and 212Pb respectively. A phase 2 study of 224Ra-based alpha therapy for peritoneal metastases is under way, and the 212Pb-based PSMA-targeting alpha therapy is in phase 1 trials. Professor Bruland will share his experience of taking an alpha therapy from the first idea through to clinical use.

Pablo Mínguez Gabiña
Clinical imaging of 223Ra
Day 1 · Clinical imaging and non-imaging measurements I
Associate professor Mínguez Gabiña is a senior medical physicist at the Department of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection at Gurutzeta-Cruces University Hospital and the Biobizkaia Health Research Institute in Bilbao. He is also an associate professor at the Department of Applied Physics at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). He was vice-chair of the EFOMP special interest group SIGFRID from 2022 to 2026 and a member of the EANM dosimetry committee from 2018 to 2024.
He co-authored several EANM guidelines, among them internal dosimetry for 131I mIBG treatment of neuroendocrine tumours, quantitative SPECT-CT, 177Lu-labelled somatostatin-receptor- and PSMA-targeting ligands and liver radioembolisation with 90Y microspheres. He also authored the recent EANM recommendations for dosimetry in targeted radionuclide therapy with alpha-emitters, and brings his work on 223Ra imaging and on microdosimetry calculations for alpha-emitters.

François Paquet
Benefits and pitfalls of using ICRP publications on occupational intakes of radionuclides for radionuclide therapies
Day 2 · Biokinetic and pharmacokinetic models
Professor Paquet is Deputy Scientific Director at the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection (ASNR). In the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) he chairs the Task Group on Internal Dose Coefficients and is Vice-Chair of Committee 2.
He authored the ICRP series on Occupational Intakes of Radionuclides, which covers biokinetic and dosimetric methodology, the use of bioassay data and biokinetic models for most elements. He has previously been Professor at the National Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Radioprotection.

Peter Bernhardt
Strategies for nuclear medicine image reconstructions for alpha-particle emitters
Day 2 · Reconstruction
Professor Bernhardt works at the Department of Medical Radiation Sciences, Sahlgrenska Academy, at the University of Gothenburg, where he heads the research group PhONSA (Medical Physics, Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Research at Sahlgrenska Academy). He is also affiliated with Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
He has researched dosimetry for more than 25 years, across both preclinical and clinical work. He was a member of the EANM dosimetry committee from 2018 to 2025 and co-authored guidance on dosimetry for 177Lu-labelled somatostatin receptor- and PSMA-targeting radioligands and for 90Y radioembolisation. His group has expertise in bone marrow dosimetry and in imaging of 161Tb, and has developed a reconstruction algorithm that applies deep learning to generate synthetic projections for sparsely sampled SPECT acquisitions.

Asta Juzeniene
Development of new alpha therapies
Day 2 · Small-scale dosimetry, radiobiology and preclinical development
Associate professor Juzeniene leads the Targeted Alpha Therapy research group at the Department of Radiation Biology, Oslo University Hospital, and is an associate professor at the University of Oslo. Her research focuses on the preclinical and radiobiological evaluation of targeted alpha therapies.
Her group has contributed to preclinical studies of radiopharmaceuticals that later progressed to clinical trials, and she studies how treatment efficacy can be improved through optimised schedules and combination therapies.

Stephen Graves
Experience from early phase targeted alpha therapy studies with 212Pb
Day 3 · Imaging and dosimetry in clinical studies I
Associate professor Graves is a medical physicist at the University of Iowa, affiliated with the Department of Radiology, the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He chairs AAPM Task Group 417 on the calibration and quality assurance of SPECT/CT and counting systems used for dosimetry-guided radiopharmaceutical therapy, and is a member of the AAPM Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Subcommittee, the SNMMI Committee on Medical Internal Radiation Dose and the SNMMI Dosimetry Task Force.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in Therapy Medical Physics and in Nuclear Medical Physics, and a principal investigator of the Precision Dosimetry Imaging Biomarker project of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. His research spans imaging and dosimetry for a range of radionuclide therapies. He will share his experience of early phase trials of 212Pb-based alpha therapies, including dosimetry in the first-in-human trial of [212Pb]Pb-VMT-α-NET.

Caroline Stokke
Imaging and dosimetry for alpha emitters: how to plan clinical trials
Day 3 · Imaging and dosimetry in clinical studies II
Associate professor Stokke heads the Theragnostic Imaging research group and the Section for Nuclear Medicine Physics at Oslo University Hospital, and is an associate professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Oslo.
She has chaired the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) dosimetry committee since 2024 and has been a member since 2018. She authored the EANM guidance on dosimetry in first-in-human trials and early phase studies and was senior author of the EANM recommendations for dosimetry in targeted radionuclide therapy with alpha-emitters, alongside other guidance documents.
